DR. MARTENS MODEST LOOKBOOK
HOW TO ACHIEVE DR.MARTENS WITH MODEST LOOKS
I played around with lots of skirts and dresses and pants to push the boundaries of just how curated I can get with my Dr.Martens. I really wanted to prove to myself and everyone out there who love Dr.Martens as much as I do that you can be expressive and style your wardrobe with combat boots. I love Dr. Martens so much I bought 3 different pairs and I don’t think I’m gonna stop there! I love the play on strong juxtaposition you can have by styling combat boots with a feminine skirt. Below I documented ways to pull it off using skirts, dresses, and pants. Scroll down for photos and my take on styling classic combat boots.
How to style with skirts
Alot of the times combat boots work as an advantage if you’re dealing with skirts that hit above the ankle and aren’t long enough; paring it with a ankle cut book like the Dr.Martens VONDA covers up your leg. Check out the lookbook video to see how I style Dr.Martens with a skirt!
Dr. Martens Do’s:
- Above ankle length skirts
- Baggy combat pants that scrunch at the bottom hem
- rolled up straight leg pant
- flowy dress that hits above the ankle (if its still too much leg showing than wear muted leggings so that there is space between the dress and boots)
